At the 2024–25 AGM, Angus Kingston stepped down as President after five years but will stay on the committee. We thank Angus for his long-standing contribution since 2017 and are glad he’ll continue to support the club, especially with his comms and systems knowledge.

We also thank Lachlan Oerman for his excellent work as Treasurer, particularly in moving our finances to Xero. Gina Qi is stepping into the Treasurer role, with Connor Bury continuing as Vice President, Helen Swan joining as Secretary, and Ali Carpenter, Coraine Sopru, and Paul Hosking returning in their roles.

I’m pleased to take on the role of President and look forward to working with Angus on a smooth handover.

Farewell to Ursula Menz

After 25 years with ASC as a fencer, coach, and committee member, Ursula Menz is heading to Tasmania. She’s made a lasting impact at ASC and Fencing SA, and we wish her all the best in this next chapter.
