The Spirit of the Club Tara Sehat Zadeh
The Spirit of the Club Award honours a member who truly embodies the values of community, positivity, and dedication. This year, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Spirit of the Club Award is Tara Sehat Zadeh! Tara’s warmth and enthusiasm light up every corner of our club. She is always smiling, welcoming everyone, and consistently eager to help. Whether by lending a hand, encouraging others, or focusing on her own learning and improvement, Tara’s positive attitude and dedication make her truly deserving of this award. Congratulations, Tara!
President’s Award Paul Hosking
In March this year, Paul Hosking took on the challenging role of the club’s armourer without hesitation and has not looked back since. Our weapons have never been better prepared for competitive use, thanks to his dedication. He has taken time out of his busy family life to ensure they are in top condition, even taking home épées and foils with faulty handles and loose wires for repairs.
Paul is also a fencer at the club and participates in state Open events. We’ve all enjoyed his company and good humour. Thank you, Paul!
